NOTD - GOSH Holographic

I have decided to revisit and redo some of my old polish posts, sorting out pictures for my Facebook page I was quite horrified by the awful pictures and not so good polish application ha!

First up is my one and only true holo polish, this WILL be rectified when I move and am settled!

While I do love this polish, I have seen holo's that are simply breathtaking!

Although for £5 (plus the £1 Fix Base Coat I needed for it) mean this is a bargain compared to the other holo's, but then the cheaper price is levelled out with a pretty rubbish application, it takes about 3 coats to even out bald spots.

This macro shot really brings out the holo!

Unlike some, I do use a topcoat for this, or it just comes right off the nails! But although it is initially dulled by the topcoat, it does actually go back to full holo when the topcoat is dry!

Er, yeah, that is about all I can tell you about this polish since its almost impossible to find, whoops!

Gosh Holographic 549 second review

If anyone has this polish and has issues with application then I urge you to hunt down the Fix Basecoat!
What took 3 or 4 coats on its own, took 2 with the base coat and there was no odd streaking and collecting of polish in patches that I had with the first use.

This shall be a staple colour during the festive season as it is a real eye catcher!

The Fix basecoat was in my local http://www.superdrug.com/ for the princely sum of £1!

Gosh Holographic 549 review!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Well, it looks amazing at least look!
Contrary to what I have read on some blogs the topcoat I used (Kensington Caviar, Nails Inc) didn't dull the holo too much and my nails were the talk of every shop assistant the day after I did them!
Application is a nightmare, but three good coats gave coverage that covered the patchy bits but had to let it dry thoroughly between coats!
I had hankered after this after reading this http://www.makeup4all.com/nails-of-the-day-gosh-549-holographic-nail-polish/ totally forgetting that it was a good idea to buy the Fix base coat, which I got today, so will do a follow up blog once I try the polish with that.

Unfortunately this polish is discontinued, going for £20 on ebay! But I was lucky and got it in Superdrug a few days ago!
