NOTD- Extending a lovely manicure!

Well, this is my first go of kind of gradient nails, these are nowhere near as good as the gradients I have seen with block colours!

But I loved A Englands Lady Of The Lake so much that when I got tip wear I really didn't want to take it off so decided to add some glitter, then thought I would try gradient!

The gradient is lower than I wanted as I didn't find the best way to do this until my second hand so I went back and did it again! I used China Glaze Prism for the tips and it was so thick that the nest way for the gradient effect was to do it from the tips and drag down so the glitter disperses down the nail

This was my favourite nail! Rubbish shot as it was on my right hand and camera skills with my left hand are not my forte!

Excuse my ravaged skin, can't seem to find any cream or oil to help!

This was a great way to extend my mani, even if it was a pickle to remove, but that is all to be revealed in my next post......

NOTD - Color Club Covered in Diamonds

This blog was a request from a friend of mine who when hearing I had Covered In Diamonds asked me to do a blog post with it over a black base!

So here it is! For this I used MUA nail polish in Shade 2 in two coats for the base and two coats of Covered In Diamonds

This is a pretty jazzy polish and looks like a graphic arty design!

Look at the sparkle in the sunlight, crazy!

The only downside is that this is a thick polish, it kept dragging the flakies to the tips and I had to use the brush to put them evenly over the nail!

Flakes!

I loved this polish, it was almost gel like in finish and even though the feeling of the polish really got on my wick (was not wiling to use any more topcoat!) but I was willing to let that slide!

I think I will wear this more in the winter though as black is not really my bag for summer and can't imagine it working so well over brighter shades but I might give it a go! You could use this alone but my nails are not really suitable and 3 or 4 coats of this is likely to be a thick gloopy mess!

Color Club is hard to find in the UK but some TK Maxx stores have sets, so keep your eyes out people!

NOTD - Kleancolor Blind Date

Sorry to bring you another US polish, but browse ebay!
I loved this the second I saw it and it didn't disappoint in the bottle

But alas it was a right royal pain to get on, to get the stars on the nail I had to blob them on which made the nail messy as when trying to level it out it just dragged the stars off the nail!

Next time I use it I shall pour some out and apply with a pin like implement!

I couldn't feel any annoyance of the stars on the nail but after this and a coat of quick drying topcoat I had to remove it as it was blobby and uneven!

Here it is layered over Revlon Steel Her Heart

Nail Rock Nail Wraps

These have been floating around in my nail polish collection for a while, I would get them out, look at them and decide they looked like too much work!

But look how great they look on!

This is my right hand, applied with my left hand. Not quite so smooth as the ones on my left hand!

This is after just 8 hours of doing stuff in the day!

The ends really annoyed me, I mean REALLY annoyed me, catching on my hair, my hand bag, my cardigan, just annoying!

This is them less than 24 hours after applying!

So my overall impressions? I adored the look, I have no patience for nail art with brushes and stamping etc, so these are an easy ish way to achieve the look.
Application wise, they are pretty easy. They do take longer than polishing but obviously you don't have drying time! I did find that the sizes in here were not any good for me, I had to trim them all down as my nails are thin.

They do claim these last up to 10 days if you are careful, and they did stick well in fact they were hard to peel off! But they felt too thick for me. I would try the Metallic Silver ones for a night out.

For £6.95 you get 16 stickers, only really worth 1 application if you have long nails like me. A pack of 20 would be much nicer, and I think they should be available in different widths.

Nail Rock Wraps are available from Boots

NOTD - Festive Flair nail 1,

So the season is upon us and am doing some festive designs to see what to do on Christmas day! This look is created with Leighton Denny Caught Red Handed, and Nails Inc Chelsea Embankment. I tried using tape to ensure it was even but gave up and did it free hand, my left hand looks good bar my middle finger !

I shall keep this for a few days and do another festive design and see what I love most!

Leighton Denny products are available here, here and here and Nails Inc from here, here and here and Nails inc from here, here and here
