Funky Fingers - Baby Baby Baby
I am being a real big meany pants today and bringing you a polish that I cannot find to buy anywhere! I got it in a swap and boy, glad I did! I got it in the post this morning and have never got my acetone out so quickly! I love it so much I had to post about it!
In the shade it doesn't look wow, well in photos it doesn't! In real life its a totally wow holo glitter polish!
Even in the sun I had trouble showing how much this glints and shifts colour, so frustrating to take pictures of!
So to really show off the colour I decided to do a couple of macro shots in the sun and here you can see the truly gorgeous sparkles and believe me in the sunlight in real life this is one gorgeous polish, although I was caught taking pictures of my nails in my garden and got some odd looks from said neighbour! But the picture shows that this is so worth it!
Might be worth trawling ebay for this if you like it, I shall be hanging onto mine forever!

*waves* hello!
As I have yet again been missing in action again for a fair while, I thought I would post an update about me and how things are going my end, especially with regards to my resolutions!
Being nicer to myself hasn't really gone too well, I still have a big problem with 'me' and have yet to like the me I am.
Being healthier is also not going to plan but my last resolution will clear that up. I initially lost a lot of weight in light of recent events but I am now up and down like a yo-yo, I need to get a grip again before it all goes back on, so I have started taking more care this week.
Be more selective? Uhhhhmmmm, well Feel Unique no longer do a beauty box and Carmine are no more but I do get GlossyBox and JolieBox again! But there is 2 more newbies on the market that I have yet to be lured too!
I have though, been buying myself stuff! Sure most of my new wardrobe was courtesy of my birthday money but I have also spent other money on myself which almost never happens!
The last one is a biggy and the hardest to write but will explain my sporadic posting. I split up with my husband so needless to say blogging took a back seat for a while. But feeling a bit brighter now, I shall be staying in the house for the time being but will be moving at some point, just me and the kids.
I also left my TA position and my course, god I hated it! I have decided to pursue my first love and would like to do a make-up course but need the money first!
So there that is a small update from me, hopefully I shall now be up for posting a bit more frequently!
Kelly x

NOTD - Leighton Denny and OPI
Todays NOTD comes courtesy of Leighton Denny Maroon Me Knot and OPI I juggle.... men!
I had lusted after the LD after seeing the new Castaway collection and loved it as soon as I got it! This is it on its own, to get the right brightness Leighton made it matte, but I am not a matte fan!
But I decided to jazz it up with a sparkly top coat, for this I used OPI I Juggle....Men! Which I love so much that I have been adding it to other colours too!

I Juggle....Men has got iridescent glitter that gives a wonderful pink and blue flash in the light, you can just about see it in the pics

The topcoat gives the polish underneath a hint of a duochrome flash and it is honestly a top coat I will be reaching for often, might try it over a black creme polish soon!

Maroon Me Knot is currently available from Leightons own site and Amazon I Juggle......Men! is available from Lena White and Amazon

Happy Mothers Day!
Hope you are all having a wonderful mothers day! I was awoken by Emmy at 8.30 this morning, she was meant to let me sleep in but couldn't wait to give me my presents! She chose me a bunch of my favourite flowers - tulips! Plus a box of chocolates for me to share with her of course!
I was also treated to breakfast in bed and a cup of tea. She also chose and wrote in my cards by herself.
Here is my lovely Mum, with Emmy
My gorgeous nutty son Callum!
My pride and joy

Our nutty little lot, my reasons for getting up in the morning, including at 3.30am, thanks Callum!

The nutty 5 year old!
Personally I am going through a pretty tough time at the moment, but my children are my reasons to smile, they make me happy and tired and sometimes cross, but my heart will always be full of love for my Tiny Humans!

weigh in..... week 10
So I feel a bit in two minds about this weeks weight loss. It is the result of one of the most stressful weeks of my life, which resulted in me living off of sugary tea.
But every cloud and all that, so here is my second sparkly silver 7, I got this as I lost 9lb this week. See, bitter sweet. Its not a good loss to have by any means, sure they do it on The Biggest Loser, but they are generally a heck of a lot larger than me.

I also got my 5%, am hoping that now that I am able to eat again that I won't put too much on, although appetite is still very small.

This weeks weight is 15st 5lb. 17lb off since I started and 4lb to my next silver 7!

NOTD - OPI Your Royal Shine-ness
I was so excited when I got this polish, but on receiving it I was a little disappointed, its a pretty bog standard silver foil

I was expecting brush strokes and ridges galore with this as many foil formulas highlight every little sin your nails may have! That wasn't the case with this and it looks pretty spectacular in direct sunlight

I thought that I could see teeny, and I mean teeny, coloured shimmer within the silver base but thought my eyes were playing tricks until I did these two close up shots with the light on them! Shame they weren't more apparent in real life but then maybe they aren't meant to be and its a trick of the light :)

Wear has been good, still looking good 5 days post application with minimal tipwear, the shine has dulled so if you want to wear it longer a topcoat on day 3 would refresh it. All the above pictures have no topcoat
Your Royal Shine-ness is avalable at QVC Lena White and Amazon
