Mont Bleu Foot File *WARNING* feet pics included!

This is the first part of a two part post.

Now I live in Birkenstocks on summer and DM's or Trainers in winter, none of these are especially good for keeping my trotters smooth, that and total lack of doing anything to them apart from the odd lick of polish on my toes!

I was contacted by Mont Bleu to test a product and I went for a foot file, not thinking about having to post horrible pictures of my feet!

Loooooook! Isn't it pretty?!

So this is my unkempt feet, oh the shame!

I fell in love with this design and its too cute! Comes in a lovely velvet pouch and is made of glass, a bit like my nail files!

This was a bit harder to picture but the file was excellent on my hard skin and this is the file after, it was covered! Run under the tap and leave to dry to recharge its powers ha!

This is the dust on my feet!

There will be a follow up post in a few weeks after some use every 3-4 days and hopefully we shall see some improvement to my horrible feet!

This products was sent to me for review, I received no payment and all opinions are mine.

This beautiful file is available from here

FOTD - Natural

Today my make-up was spur of the moment, surprisingly for a beauty blogger I don't wear make-up daily.

So I went for a quick and natural face

For the base I tried Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB cream. I have tried a few European BB creams and not been very happy as they either have a nice texture but disappear to nothing or are so thick they are hard to work with and feel mask like.
But this was light, covered well and smelt lovely, it is expensive - £20 for a full size but I barely made a dent in the sachet I used so think it might be worth the splurge!

My eyes are simply Mac pigment in Melon, Bare Minerals Flawless Definition mascara and Bare Mineral Turn On highlighter in the inner corners and on my brow bone.

Lips just take a slick of pink gloss, Chanel Levres Scintillantes in 166 Amour a pretty pink with a hint of sparkle, my favourite type of gloss! This one has no flavour which is lovely, some of the stronger scented ones tend to make my throat feel scratchy!

Cheeks are blushed with my go to - Laura Geller Blush and Brighten in Berry and highlighted with Mac Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Honey Rose.

Overall I like this kind of look for the daytime, especially when I don't fancy playing with pastels or brights!

What is your daytime face routine?

L'oreal Rouge Caresse

I have decided that I do too many posts featuring just my nails or my whole face, so thought I should start doing a few more in depth posts on face make-up and thought I would start with my newest purchase.

I have had an interest in these since seeing the advert as I am not keen on the infamous Revlon lip Butters! I decided to take a shot at the amazing deal for two of these on Buyapowa as I definitely wanted Cheeky Magenta after swatching it on my hand recently and also like a light pink

Swatched on the hand Fashionista Pink was a bit meh, it didn't float my boat

My face is totally bare as I just swatched the lippies, so excuse the crater like pores!

Fashionista Pink is a really light pink on the lips, Not sure how long this would stay on the lip but it does feel

lovely and light

This for me is the star of the set! I want to be braver with my lip shades and feel like this is a perfect step into brighter, funkier lip colours but without being in your face.

Rouge Caresse is available from all good cosmetics retailers and is available in 10 shades RRP £7.99 but currently 3 for 2 at Boots!

NOTD - Ciate Purple Sherbert

Happy Saturday peeps! Really should have done this at the beginning of the month considering this came free with Marie Claire magazine and is only available for another 2 weeks or so!

It is a beautiful lilac creme and applied like a dream, this is two coats and there was no problem with streaking

It lasted for a full 5 days with no tip wear and it was so shiny on its own! I only use topcoat partly out of habit and also to seal the colour around the cuticle and tip area.

All of these shots were taken inside, I did wait 3 days for some sun, but that mythical thing never appeared and as much as I enjoy blogging, I won't do it in the rain for a natural light shot!

Purple Sherbert is exclusively made for Marie Claire which costs £4.20 (or maybe £3.90, recovering from a night out!) and the Ciate alone is worth £9 and you get a good read in the bargain! There are two other shades available, a hot pink with blue shimmer called Jelly Bean and a greyed out lilaccy taupe called Bon Bon!

NOTD - Spiderman, Spiderman.....

Does whatever a spider can.....

Actually this polish is dedicated to the Lizard who is the baddie in the new Spiderman film!

Say hello to Just Spotted The Lizard

In the sun this is an amazing shimmery gold, not usually my colour but well you know my love of duochromes by now!

The green is hard to capture in the sun, but I just about got it here by blurring the photo!

Here is the bottle shot in the shade, the colours look amazing!

In this shot taken in the shade you can really see the green!

These pictures are taken after 4 days of application now, not sure if this is due to the outstanding quality of OPI or if it is my amazing new Designer Series topcoat! The Spiderman series won't be around forever so get them now at http://www.lenawhite.co.uk/

NOTD - Kleancolor Blind Date

Sorry to bring you another US polish, but browse ebay!
I loved this the second I saw it and it didn't disappoint in the bottle

But alas it was a right royal pain to get on, to get the stars on the nail I had to blob them on which made the nail messy as when trying to level it out it just dragged the stars off the nail!

Next time I use it I shall pour some out and apply with a pin like implement!

I couldn't feel any annoyance of the stars on the nail but after this and a coat of quick drying topcoat I had to remove it as it was blobby and uneven!

Here it is layered over Revlon Steel Her Heart

NOTD - Miners and Models Own

I spotted the Models Own Indian Ocean when browsing in Boots and loved it so snapped it up! BUT it is not a polish to wear alone of you dislike visible nail line, ie, MEEEEEEE!

So I layered it over Miners Keepin' It Teal

Two coats of each polish

Duochrome!

The Miners was a lovely polish, a really easy to apply creme, loved the slim bottle too!
The Models Own is a lovely duochrome shimmer, just wish it was not so thin and could be warn alone, but I shall be testing it over other colours!
