NOTD Leighton Denny - Brief Encounter

I have no idea how my camera decided to do a soft focus shot, maybe I got nail oil on the viewer!

Brief Encounter is a soft take of the 'Greige' phenomena that I have never been a fan of. But this shade tempted me, its not a sludgy colour as some canbe, its a beautiful pinky beige with a beautiful microshimmer through it. As Leighton himself would say, it looks expensive and my hands look polished and well groomed, that makes me sound like a poodle!

November Feel Unique Beauty Box

So my first Beauty Box of the month arrived.

I was excited when I opened it as I wanted to try some Emma Hardie goodies and there is two!
This wonderful, double sided beauticians face cloth





The cloth was beautifully wrapped
I am excited about the face balm as I adore them and this smells yum!

The box that the perfume came in made me excited but the sample is regular sized! Smells lovely though, maybe a repurchase!

The Xen Tan is a nice size but not for me, so swapping it.

The Bella Piere highlighter is lovely but not my colour

Both hair products will be used, excited to try the Dust It! The Goldwell mask smells gorgeous and I am looking forward to trying it soon!

Mally is a brand that is not widely know in the UK. Sold through QVC which is not somewhere many people I know shop (you really should, high end sets at amaze-balls prices!)

Mally Roncal is a make-up artist to many stars in the USA and created the brand after being frustrated at having to use a multitude of products to get the look and last that she wanted.

Her motto is Bulletproof make-up. So many brands these days offer 48 hour lasting, infallible, life proof make-up but fail to deliver.

Not so with this! A make-up remover wipe failed to remove it! It is amazing and my dark circles were banished! A scar under my chin was unnoticeable!

This was my first try of Mally make-up and I really want to try more now I know this lives up to its Bulletproof claims!

Do you struggle with foundation?

Me too, well I did until I got my mitts on some bareMinerals by bareEscentuals. I am 31 and have been wearing make-up for roughly 19 of those years. I have spent many years and much money finding the perfect foundation. Usually my skin is adequately covered with just a touch of concealer and a dusting of powder, but for nights out and for those times when I needed that bit more cover.

I have had countless foundations over the years, powder, creme to powder, liquid and all sorts of brands, seriously every year I chuck out at least 2 or 3 as I buy them, try them and they fester in my make up kit until they eventually separate and go skanky!

I have tried 3 different brands of mineral powder make-up and have had troubles with coverage, and the one that provided me with coverage made me want to tear my face off as it irritated me so so much!

Step forward bareMinerals! I must admit that the older I get, the more I am willing to spend on make-up! It is paying off. I have currently got Original foundation, Mineral Veil and Warmth.

Application was easy as, it was such a small amount of foundation that I tried and I was astonished when I looked in the mirror, the coverage was astounding! I have always had a bug bear with my ruddy complexion but even this was covered.

You just shake a bit into the lid, swirl the brush, tap it and buff onto the face. It is quick, faultless and amazing. Mineral Veil is not needed, but it gave me a bit of extra against the shiny nose. It also seemed to give me a luminosity that I have never had.

Warmth scared me, I was taken a-back when I saw it in the pot but the teeniest amount for me (I am pale) just put a bit of life and well, warmth into my face.

My complexion was so even that for the first time in my life I felt happy to wear blusher! I had the make-up on for a few hours and still looked great when I got home, and not once did my face itch!

I think this will be my forever foundation!
