Nail Rock Nail Wraps

These have been floating around in my nail polish collection for a while, I would get them out, look at them and decide they looked like too much work!

But look how great they look on!

This is my right hand, applied with my left hand. Not quite so smooth as the ones on my left hand!

This is after just 8 hours of doing stuff in the day!

The ends really annoyed me, I mean REALLY annoyed me, catching on my hair, my hand bag, my cardigan, just annoying!

This is them less than 24 hours after applying!

So my overall impressions? I adored the look, I have no patience for nail art with brushes and stamping etc, so these are an easy ish way to achieve the look.
Application wise, they are pretty easy. They do take longer than polishing but obviously you don't have drying time! I did find that the sizes in here were not any good for me, I had to trim them all down as my nails are thin.

They do claim these last up to 10 days if you are careful, and they did stick well in fact they were hard to peel off! But they felt too thick for me. I would try the Metallic Silver ones for a night out.

For £6.95 you get 16 stickers, only really worth 1 application if you have long nails like me. A pack of 20 would be much nicer, and I think they should be available in different widths.

Nail Rock Wraps are available from Boots

Weigh in...... week 8

Yep, big fat nothing. Stayed the same at 15st 11lb. But I am happy with that. Which may sound odd, but you know what? This week has been a pretty crap week food wise.
I felt a little out of control, especially on Sunday when Callum turned 13 and there was Marks and Spencers birthday cake, not Colin the Caterpillar but glorious fondant icing covered vanilla sponge. I promise I am not really drooling while typing this (note, I break promises easily!) But this is also a week where yes, I ate the wrong things, but instead of just giving up and having a total binge I just cut down on other things in the day time.

Back to it this week, can get my 5% next week if I lose another 1lb. Only 3lb to my next sparkly 7 as well. One month until my birthday and I would like to lose enough to get a new dress!

NOTD - OPI Fly

Ok, so I was going to review the new Estee Lauder BB Cream today, but I have a nasty bout of conjunctivitis! Perils of working in a school I guess.

Instead, I have another nail post.

Today this post features Fly from the OPI and Nicki Minaj collection. This after Metallic 4 Life was one that really caught my eye

It is a glorious teal creme polish, part of me was a little disappointed at it is not as blue as it is in this pictures and in fact all pictures I have seen of this have shown it to be bluer than it is in real life!

Application was a dream, OPI formulas for their cremes are honestly second to none, I could have got away with two coats here but went for three to fix them up a bit after spotting some cotton wool stuck in two nails!

See the shine on the middle finger nail? Believe it or not this is with no top coat! I think I will add a topcoat today purely to protect the polish, it certainly doesn't need any help in the shine department!

I think this shows how smoothly this applies on the nail. This is over two coats of Nail Envy which I use as a basecoat.

Even in the shade you can see the shine!

Fly is available from Lena White Amazon and in a mini set from QVC
