NOTD Dollish Polish - It's A Me Mario!

Happy New Years Eve! Any plans? My plans involve staying in! Weather is pretty horrendous and everywhere is expensive! My Sky+ box is currently recording a load of Friends episodes so might enjoy them with a bottle of fizz!

Anyhoo, today's nail features a polish I wasn't sure I would get my mitts on when it was released! As much as I love Llarowe I am not one of the crazy ones who wait for the release and go mad trying to buy! So when I had money and wanted to purchase I browsed the makes and saw THIS!

Dollish was the first Indie maker I heard of and I now have quite the collection!

This is an awesome polish, a clear base (I used Sally Hansen Ruby Rush for undies) with red, blue and turquoise hex glitters and some amazing holo stars!

The stars were hit and miss. The stars on my ring and pinky fingers were ones I fished out and placed on so you can see them clearly.

The ones on my index and middle fingers came out with no help so annoyingly for me got covered with the red and blue glitters!

This is my right hand, hence the rubbish photo! I managed to get at least one star on each nail, getting the stars out was simply a case of replacing the cap and turning over for a few seconds and a few dips and inspections of the brush!

I do not like the feel of glittery polishes so when Leah Ann from Llarowe offered to send me Glitter Food by Nail Pattern Boldness I said yes straight away and it is great! It dries to a satin finish so may do some matte mani's with it soon! Glitter literally sucks it up and makes a smooth base for topcoats!

Both Dollish Polish and Nail Pattern Boldness are available from Llarowe!

My Festive Mani!

Hello! Nearly time for the big day! Are you all ready? I am all set now and looking forward to it!

I know I said I was going to review some Butter London but forgot to take pictures before doing my festive mani! It also chipped when I was at a gig, first time I ever got a chip!

So anyway I received Color Clubs Insta-This! In my Jolie Box and had to use it, I know red is common for a festive mani but I like to be different!

Insta-This! Is an amazing blue polish that dried matte as it is neon based and covered fully in 2 coats, of course being Christmas I wanted to jazz it up a bit!

I used Andrea Fulerton Glitter Puff in a silver holographic, as I wanted to do the tips I deposited some in a pot, repainted my tips and dipped!

It was great fun blowing off the excess and spreading glitter everywhere!

When I applied a topcoat it distributed the glitter over my nails, an effect I liked so kept. To me it reminds me of falling snow in a night sky :)

I used a coat of Gelous topcoat then Seche Vite to make this heardwearing but also make the tips not feel so bumpy!

Insta-This! Is a special polish to mark the collaboration of Color Club and Birch Box so hard to find but Andrea Fulerton products are available in most Superdrug stores!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Butter London Kits in TK MAXX!!!

Hello! In the run up to Christmas it feels a bit frivolous to be spending on myself but since I have done all my shopping then why not eh!

I was perusing my local TK Maxx for any new OPI, Color Club or Leighton Denny when I looked round the nail stand and saw THESE-

I nearly fainted and grabbed them quick as Butter is hard to find in shops! Today I have the lip swatches for you and once I get my lips in better condition I shall do a post on these simply amazing glosses!

These are amazing and so glittery, couldn't feel it when it was on my hand when I rubbed it with my finger either. The glosses have a strong vanilla scent, which I prefer to flowery or honey.

Of the 3 Chancer is my favourite and I have the polish on my toes but hate my feet so will blog that when it is on my nails!

I will blog the varnish on their own as believe me they are so beautiful that they need the spotlight!

Lips and Tips Sets are currently available for £16 on the Butter London website well just the Christmas ones are £16. They are a value set worth £26 if you buy the two alone. I got my sets for just £9.99 hence why I was on them like a shot!

This has given me yet another reason to frequent my local store!

NOTD Never Naked Nail Lacquer - Turtle Tango

Hi everyone! Are we all nearly ready for Christmas? I am bar the tree but that goes up the day after my Dad's birthday so the 13th for us!

Today I have the second of the polishes sent to me by Kate from NNNL  this is Turtle Tango from the Lush Lizard line. I already tried Black Mamba Samba from the line and loved it so was looking forward to trying this!

Turtle Tango is a sheer layering polish, an orange shimmer base with green hex glitter with a few green holo hex glitters thrown in.

I used two layers over a white polish (Barry M Matte White) and was really pleased with the way the green glitter spread over my nails.

What I also loved (surprise surprise!) was the hidden holo in the micro shimmer base!
Due to the weather this took some coaxing out but I finally got a shot!

Now this is not a polish shot but Emmy wanted to help and insisted I take her picture, and what a lovely one it is :)

This is her helping me by sticking the polish bottle in shot!

Turtle Tango is beautiful and not like anything else I have in my stash and will be available in the new year from http://www.etsy.com/shop/NeverNakedNails

NOTD Never Naked Nail Lacquer - Into The Woods

Hello! Apologies for being MIA lately, been preparing for Christmas, out on the razz, dealing with poorly kids and a poorly me!

But enough of that! I was recently sent two polishes to test made by Kate from Never Naked Nails who also makes awesome nail polish jewellery and has branched into the Indie polish market.

This first polish is Into The Woods and is from the Country Collection and is an indie that doesn't need a base colour! Time saving for me!

It is a shimmering green with green hex glitter, I also spotted the odd holo hex glitter which pleased me!

The shimmer micro particles shine all different colours but thanks to the great British weather (as in not so great!) my camera struggled to pick it up but think you can just see it on the below photo!

On the first coat I really wasn't sure about this polish, and personally I used 3 coats as I hate visible nail line and once the 3rd coat was on I was in love! The large glitter hexes spread well on the nail and didn't bunch up or move the the tips which is a bug bear with glitter that isn't full coverage.

Something about this polish makes me think of Christmas, which is odd as it isn't really a Christmas tree green but it is also quite subtle on which after full on glitter nails last week has been quite nice. A lady serving me in Boots asked me where it was from which is always nice, especially when you know you are wearing something you can't just get on the high street!

Wear has been great! I painted these on Monday, took the pics two days later and now it is still holding on tight even after a day of having my hands in and out of water on Tuesday, most impressive. Do wish I had used this when my nails were still longer though, but then like my hair I always regret trimming my nails down!

Into The Woods will be available from the Never Naked Nail Lacquer store on Etsy in the new year, keep an eye out!

NOTD Hits - Cutie Pie

Ok, so second post for me today since this polish has had so many enquiries it would be rude not to blog it!

Behold the glorious of Cutie Pie! If a polish makes your non cosmetic mum go 'oh my god how did you do that to your nails?' you know its a winner!

Cutie Pie is an amazing multichrome, shifting from blue to purple here...

An amazing green here....

Even just keeping your hand still it shifts from green to blur to purple!

Ahhhh so dreamy and yet not a hint of glitter!

if you move your hand a certain way this takes on a rosy tone that sometimes looks gold but my camera couldn't catch that!

The bottle makes me think of a petrol on water effect but hyped up!

This shot shows the green, blue and purple all on one hand!

This polish was purchased as part of a set from Llarowe but perhaps unsurprisingly both the set and single bottle are out of stock but keep an eye out as it may be back!

My new handbag!

Slight departure from nails today and a pretty quick post. Not been able to blog for a while as been crazy busy getting ready for Christmas! Today I also have a little girl with a tummy bug :(

This was featured on a great blog you should read http://www.bigfashionista.co.uk/ and I fell in love and ordered straight away!

Each bag is hand drawn and its is so cute! It opens and closes with the magnet as below, which is good as I hate faffing with buckles!

It only has one compartment inside but I am pretty basic and have my keys, purse and my phone which will go in the back pocket as pictured below so I can get to it easily without rummaging!

My daughters first words on seeing my new bag? 'Can I colour it it?' Er no! The fact they are hand drawn by Helen gives each one a unique flair and no two are the same!

This is amazing value at only £29 AND free delivery!

Available at Helen Rochfort

NOTD OPI - Tomorrow Never Dies

Hello my lovelies! Anyone else struggling in the week and looking forward to lazy weekends?

Today I have one of the 5 Bond collection that I now own, I am not the type to buy all of one collection and I only go for what I know will suit me!

This was the one out of the 5 that really called to me!

The amazing 'Blurple' is actually quite a unique polish in my stash, all my blues are glittery!
This is a super shiny and amazing polish, it was love on application! Apart from the silly lumps on my middle and ring finger (but I have now discovered lint free nail polish remover pads!)

This was lovely to apply, 2 coats and wear was pretty amazing!

While this was not a duochrome it did change in different lights but my camera refused to pick up the purple tones in this polish!

The Bond collection is available now at http://www.lenawhite.co.uk/ but seeing as its so popular then it might not be round forever!

NOTD Girly Bits - Into The Night

Happy Weekend! I was so pleased it was Saturday today, this week the kids went back after half term and it honestly feels like they have been back a month! The school run is exhausting, roll on Christmas holidays!

Today I have another Indie for you all. Painting my nails has become a slight chore in that it takes me forever to choose what to wear from my ever growing collection! Think I need to exert some control on myself :/

This here is the gorgeous Into The Night!

This for me was a layering polish as I don't like visible nail line so I used it over Nails Inc London Nights for a truly dark night look.

The fact my 6 year old daughter declared my nails awesome and cool after seeing my new paint job says a lot as if a polish isn't wow then she doesn't care to comment!

I used two coats of London Nights and two coats of Into The Night and it reminds me of stars and fireworks! Micro glitter holo yuminess making this such a wonderful polish that I think will be used many times this winter!

Slight blur in the next two pictures to show the beautiful colours!

Be still my beating heart!

Into The Night was one of my many purchases from Llarowe but is not in stock anymore! You gotta be quick to buy from there but oh my, it is always well worth it!

NOTD Hits - Hera

Happy Wednesday, half way through the week, hurrah! I am mega excited, my first trip to Sally's tomorrow with a trade carded friend, this could be expensive! But since I am waiting for a Llarowe order and making my way through the past order so may show some restraint (hmmmmm)

Anyway, here is the other holo I mentioned in my last post, the weather here has been so hit and miss so hard to bring out the full holo goodness!

Hera is one of the more unusual polishes I now own, it is truly beautiful and I kept it on for nearly a week and it lasted well bar the tip wear you see here and that is with no topcoat! How comes we can't make such good holo's in this country!

Application was a breeze, again, why that is not possible with UK holo's I really don't know!

This is two coats, no streaking, no bald patches just awesomeness!

This shot shows how amazing this is!

In the sahe this is still beautiful and looks like a shimmery, silver shot green

I do recall commenting on a picture of a green polish before I started blogging and saying I would never wear green polish, oh how I have changed!

I am probably going to be showing more of my Hits soon since I have a few multi chromes to show you :)

Hits is only available to UK customers through the amazing Llarowe http://shop.llarowe.com/collections/hits/products/hera

I know I praise this online shop all the time but they really are great!
