NOTD - Leighton Denny Sugar Babe

Yes I know, another Leighton polish, but who cares, I am completely in love!
Ahhhh, just look at that shimmer! Again this picture is before my topcoat was put on! Sad as it may be I just can't stop looking at my nails! Its a plummy shade, which shimmers beautifully and has real diamond particles just to really give it that shiny definition.
This is a shade that is not in the core range, but it can be found on ebay or get lucky by Googling.
Most Leighton products can be found at http://www.leightondenny.com/
and in some branches of TK Maxx oh and of course

NOTD - Leighton Denny Caught Red Handed

Ladies, we have a OCW! That's Once Coat Wonder to the uninitiated!
Do excuse the weird, wet look, I have cuticle oil on to soak in overnight but forgot to do my pics first but had to blog about this!
Leighton Denny really is the master of nails. My nails today were done with a range of the products. I got a kit from QVC and had a lovely evening pampering my nails, I also got a set of Sweet Petites from TK Maxx (in store) and had a real tough time choosing what colours to use, especially as I also got Saturn Sedduction from the new Atmospheric collection!
But I went for this beautiful shimmery red, its a beautiful true red, shot through with tiny red microshimmer and even with no topcoat and no Slick Tips it was oh so shiny!

Caught Red Handed is £11 and can be bought directly from Leighton Dennys website or http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_9?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=caught+red+handed&x=0&y=0&sprefix=caught+re

NOTD - Leighton Denny Berry Nice

This is just a beauty!
Some of the best polish I have used. It is a thicker than some formula, but being a nail junkie I am quite adept at applying almost any polish formulation! But the application of this is amazing. Just one coat was adequate but I always do two for the longevity. The picture of my nails was taken before I applied a topcoat, can you see the shine?!
This is my first Leighton Denny polish and certainly won't be my last!
The colour here is a solid cream, no shimmer, no glitter, no bells and whistles, just pure and unadulterated colour!

Have you ever been Shattered?

I am talking nails here!
I was instantly wanting to try these when the high end brands came out and resisted. Then the more pictures I saw the more I decided I wasn't keen.
Not sure if it is just me, but I think it looks like I need a decent manicure!
Admittedly in the picture of my nails I do have this on over a silvery coloured polish, but even with a contrasting colour I know I won't like it.

W7 Crackle polishes are available here or some branches of TK Maxx have sets in stock that include the cracle polishes.

Cetuem SCR Gold mask and face cream

I got some samples in my Boudoir Prive box, good way to try things you wouldn't normally such as this range!
The mask smells heavenly! Although when putting it on, it felt odd to have such a grainy face mask, but then you do have to massage it in before leaving it on so its where the brightening, read, exfoliating comes in I guess! I left the mask for 25 minutes, it did dry but didn't set hard like some so was not uncomfortable at all.
The removal was a pain! It said to use cotton wool pads but I am glad I didn't as it would have taken a whole pack! I used my muslin cloth and had to rinse and rinse and rinse, in the end I had to splash my face 6 times to get the grains off! My overall impression is positive, my skin actually did look fresh and bright, would I pay for the full price product? I am on the fence for now, I still have a good 2 or 3 applications in the tube so will finish it and see how my skin fairs after a month of weekly usage.

The Face cream on the other hand, smells horrible, obviously different people like different things, but for me its a little strong and a bit 'old' smelling. It is bringing me some memories, but not ones that I remember, mainly of my nan! Having said that, my face feels amazing! Its soft without feeling at all greasy and my skin feels really lovely. Would I pay £45 for it. No, I don't think I could, the smell really puts me off and to be honest my Liz Earle collection from QVC cost less than that and have a cleanser, toner and moisturiser for £38!

The BEST hair product I have ever used!

Mythic Oil! I got this in my first ever Glossybox and oh lordy! I would never have thought of putting oil on my hair before, especially as I am prone to greasy roots.
But this has changed my hair! I used to get fly away frizz when I let my hair dry naturally, not anymore! My hair is soft, supple and oh so shiny!

It is my first true 'high end' hair product, after Bed Head and I will hunt it down or buy it in Amazon, when mine runs out! Used mine about 15 times (I was my hair 2 or 3 times a week) and have hardly made a dent in the bottle so won't need to worry yet!

Shall post pics of my hair and its shine, after I hide my flipping greys!

Nails Inc Magetic polish in Trafalgar Square

Isn't it pretty?! This is a rush job, over the top of my holo polish, just one thick coat and the effect is amazing! In the light the holo even peeks through! Alison Young on QVC mentioned this being used over a red polish and the red peeking through, excited to try that!
Again my nails have been a talking point while out and about! People think I have them 'done' in a salon, partly due to the shape which is thanks to my Leighton Denny file, which, by the way, I am still in love with!

This polish is available to buy from http://www.nailsinc.com/ or selected salons, but they sell out quickly so be warned! It also comes in Houses of Parliament, a purple with dark stripes and Big Ben, a gold that has a gold strip through it.

Next time I do this I might try holding the magnet all different ways!

Gosh Holographic 549 review!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Well, it looks amazing at least look!
Contrary to what I have read on some blogs the topcoat I used (Kensington Caviar, Nails Inc) didn't dull the holo too much and my nails were the talk of every shop assistant the day after I did them!
Application is a nightmare, but three good coats gave coverage that covered the patchy bits but had to let it dry thoroughly between coats!
I had hankered after this after reading this http://www.makeup4all.com/nails-of-the-day-gosh-549-holographic-nail-polish/ totally forgetting that it was a good idea to buy the Fix base coat, which I got today, so will do a follow up blog once I try the polish with that.

Unfortunately this polish is discontinued, going for £20 on ebay! But I was lucky and got it in Superdrug a few days ago!

Follow up review, L'oreal Sublime Mousse Dye

This is yonks old, but hey, might as well post it still! Not like I have been good at keeping this updated!
Anyhoo, I love it, its the best dye I have used in a long time, sure its a 30 minute developing time, but the mess free application makes it
worth it.
Grey coverage is great too, which is needed as you can see left!
